Off to Lucerne!
With Scotty taking off work, we sped down to the idyllic town of Lucerne to gorgeous sunny weather and mild temperatures. Lucerne is a beautiful city by the water that was sheer pleasure to walk around. We ate by the river to the audience of countless white swans and passers-by looking for a suitable place to eat under the warm sun. Scotty took us through the town to the lookout towers that span a wall up on the hills of Lucerne. Great breathtaking views. A local science group was setting up a bat exhibit while we were there and let us pet one of the local Swiss bats (Grosse Abendsegler)! Who would have thought they were so soft? We then proceeded down to the Museum and got a chance to "fly". The installation was the artist's way of manifesting the feeling of happiness by simply letting the person fly. We were harnessed to a swing of sorts and we were spun around with our legs suspended ala hang gliding. Truly you could not leave without smiling :)luv,
