Aug 12th: Let's go to the GG bridge!
Saturday started with the same routine today. Up after enough sleep, down to La Boulange for some baguettes, and then off to the Farmer's Market. We got this huge golden yellow heirloom tomato that was like 2 pounds! On the way back, we happened upon the Nihonmachi Street Fair and dwelled for a spell. This Filipino-American band called "Native Elements" was cranking out beautiful reggae music so we sat a spell with some boba and sushi, and enjoyed the sunny day!
With an entire afternoon still ahead of us, we decided to put on our comfy shoes and hike to the Golden Gate Bridge. Neither of us had ever crossed it so we decided to give it a go.

It was a tad chilly with the wind whipping everything up. We got to walk all away across to the Marin side and then headed back. Chilled we decided to go to the Warming Hut in Crissy field for some hot tea (verbena mint and green).

Our cousin, Birgit, was in town for a show at Fort Mason and we went out to dinner at Fresca. The dining experience was stellar as always as we tried the ceviche cocotuna (yum!) and the standard ceviche chino (yum yum). I ordered the salmon with calamari rice. Beb had the Aji de Gallina (chicken stew and rice) and Birgit had the ahi steak with spicy yam potatoes. Ooh la la my o my we were in heaven. It was great to spend time with her as we last saw her on her birthday (check the archives)! Overall another beautiful SF day!
