JunJunJumps!

Days in the life of JunJun and Beb.... Since we noticed folks were getting whiplash trying to catch up with us, we figured freezing ourselves in time and space would be a good thing. Don't forget to surf the Archives! ;)

Off to Brainerd: Day 4

Bleary-eyed, we rolle out of bed to start the day. Mum and Dad had a sumptuous breakfast feast of fresh fruit, popovers, and muffins to fill us up with much needed energy for the very strenuous task of relaxing later in Brainer. Yes, we ate up.
Dad, I think we have more than enough food for Fredrik.
He is looking a little overwhelmed.

Once we got to Grandma and Grandpa's in Brainerd after 1.5 hours of traveling in the rain, it was nice to cozy up indoors to some donuts and coffee cake. Yes, it is a prerequisite snack :)

Not ones to be idle, Fredrik and I were itching to go outside even with the chance of rain to see the lake...

Ah, Roy lake....

Grandpa and Grandma's abode with Fredrik starting his shell collecting.

So what to do? Well we amused ourselves somehow and tried to collect more shells until I had the brilliant idea of feeding the fish off the dock. Splendid! Then Dad went out to get some worms while Grandpa got Fredrik a little pole and I started putting some bread for bait.
WE GOT FISH!

This is Fredrik's first fish! A nice, cute little sunfish... Little did I know that he was going to tranform into this uber-crazy fisherman!

We fished....
...and fished.... and fished while it was drizzling...
but...

...Fredrik probably caught over 40 fish that day! It was amazing how Fredrik would put his pole down and up comes a fish. I could not stop putting bait on his hook. In fact, we ran out! We caught sunfishe, crappies (Pumpkin Seed), and a couple of bass. We set a lot free but we kept some good enough to fillet and take home so that Fredrik can enjoy his catch. This was the live well in the dock where we stored the fish overnight.

Ok, time for dinner and some fun....

Fill or Bust is a popular dice game in the house. Fredrik learned how the game was played quickly with Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa helping him on. Beb and I financed his game of course as with all games in the house, we play for dinero! Fredrik actually beat Great-Grandma :)
