I guess you can say that October has been hectic for us (which month has not been?) that I finally got to post up the pics in November. Let us catch up quick shall we?

These two pics were mid-October whence the weather was gloriously sunny that we felt compelled to have a last-hurrah picnic in the park enjoying our salmon burgers and gelato :) Later on that week, we ran into Eric and arranged to have dinner with him and his gf, Emily at Godzilla for some good sushi. He is doing very well, working as a bioinformatics scientist and it was a pleasure to meet Emily who works at an architecture firm.

Repeat the phenomenon in a few days.... :)

Dave and his wife, Christi. Dave was a college classmate of mine in biochem and we ran into each other in Yosemite. We finally got a chance to reconnect in Japantown's Mifune for some awesome japanese food. Yes, there was a lot of food and a lot of catching up which both are always fun to do. Christi is a MD and Dave is going for his doctorate in epidemiology. Both live in Oakland.

Before we knew it, it was our dear Judo girl Destinee's 13th birthday party being celebrated with tons of friends from school, hula, and judo at the bowling alley in Cupertino. Tons of fun for the gals and dangerous food like popcorn chicken, pizza, cream puffs, and soda were all over. It was great working on my bowling game but my little bro was hitting the strikes like no tomorrow. Destinee is growing up so fast that Dad might start thinking about the boyfriends ;)
Hmm, actually Destinee might just flip the boys over if they cross her wrong.

Zooming past to the next weekend, we catch ourselves in SC to do the long-awaited baby shower for little Jake who decided to come into this world the night before the first actually scheduled shower! This time around, we got it down.

Yummy spread of yummies from a luscious pumpkin dessert, a crisp, brownies, cupcakes with pansies, cheeses, bread from La Boulange, pesto pasta, rollups, chicken marsala, hot spiced cider, and more. The feast was a hit. Jade and I had to enjoy the visage before it is all gone.

Mission accomplished! The shower was a success with happy guests and hosts. Jen and Jade here pose for a last pic before we headed backhome. Sweet eh?

Zip to next weekend and we are with our dear Cindy girl after our Saturday ballet class. We met up at Crossroads for some food and chat.

Last night was with Cindy again at the Nan Kempner exhibit. Talk about a woman with a penchant for fashion, she had an extraordinary wardrobe we got to see. It was incredible to see all the couture craftsmanship on clothing that we normal folks would likely never get a chance to see unless we attend a gala or high-powered party.

I think we all agreed that the Valentino asian-inspired coat and the circa late 60s grecian pleat dresses were our faves.

How apropos! I was wearing silver shoes to boot! We were en route for some dinner at a Vietnamese noodle shop since our standby was about six feet deep with people.

My large soup of seafood pho was TITANIC!
